I just started listening to MMJ after only being vaguely familiar with them for a couple of years & they immediately became one of my favorites. I'm totally addicted to their soulful, haunting & often dissonant sound that I think is very original. There's something very real & sincere about their sound. I can't believe they didn't catch my attention earlier, but sometimes we're just not ready. -- sha_ney_ney
This and "In Rainbows" vie for the best album this decade. You don't hear many straight forward rock albums these days. MMJ's "Z" begins beautifully slow and ends hauntingly while slapping you in the face with straight forward rock in between. Great, great album that will stand on its own for decades.
