Sebadoh
Simply a great album... and in preparation for the ATP vs Pitchfork festival - it's in heavy rotation.

3.
The Raveonettes
It's new... so I'm chewing on it for a while. So far - so good.

Update: Still liking it... probably will make my top ten of 2008

Liars
I didn't realize how raw these guys sound. Reminds me of The Black Angels or perhaps Tapes n Tapes .... both good bands.

Bon Iver
I'm surprised I like this one. It's got a lot of trappings that I would not typically like. Wisconsin mountain man self indulging with nature for months? Or perhaps Iron & Wine goes midwest-stylie? Not appealing descriptions.... but it works.
6.
Hot Chip
The more I listen to this one - - the more I like it. I'm trying to get into the new one.. but this one's got it beat so far. They are the reason I'm going to ATP vs Pitchfork

Fujiya & Miyagi
It is a lot like '!!!' - - but less edgy and more melodic. Good stuff.

Beck
In 2005 when I heard that Beck had a new album out, I went and bought it. Then, a few weeks later, I heard he'd released a remix of his album. I'd heard through some of my peeps that the remix wasn't as good... So I waited a while to go pick it up. When I finally did, I figured out that I'd had the remix album the whole time and didn't realize it! Idiot! I like 'em both. Listening to this now.

TV on the Radio
I always love it when one of their songs shows up on the ipod shuffle. I haven't stopped listening to these guys ever since I found them.

I'm a big fan of Dan the Automator's stuff, but for some reason I've never checked out "Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By". His Kool Keith work was great, Hansome Boy was fun, Gorillaz of course and I totally enjoyed Peeping Tom... guess it's about time I snatch up some of his "solo" work...

Wow, we're on similar music trips right now. I've yet to give that Beirut a listen. Guess I should track it down.
