nothing particularly "groudbreaking". just some acoustic/folk/rock (with a little arcade fire-ish indie spice thrown in) done to perfection. absolutley ZERO filler. ive listened to it on repeat since tues. the lyrical content is simple, but memorable.
let me guess. you read rolling stone and spin and you know everything about all of the cool new bands coming out. i don't even know most of the people on your list. do you think that they will be around in a few years. they aren't going to have the lasting power of most of the artists on my list. maybe if you stopped being so cool, you could get some real taste.
you hatin on dr dog, betty?....cuz dems fightin words..
its not like they are trying to be a beatles cover band or anything..you can def hear the influence, but theres more going on than that. i cant get enough of "We All Belong".
melty, if you're looking for a band that channels the beatles much better (and more originally) than Dr. Dog, you should really check out Olivia Tremor Control. they're no longer a band and only have two LPs -- Dusk at the Cubist Castle and Black Foliage -- but both are excellent albums. btw, i wouldn't recommend starting with their "singles" album (it's not really a singles album at all) or any other EPs as they get pretty weird.
Melty, try again. They're available now. In the future, email feedback@favorite10.com for missing albums, bugs, suggestions or any other feedback that you want to give about f10, and it'll get looked at right away.
