If it weren't for Tool's direct line to my subconscious and My Morning Jacket's sublime sound, I would be right there with you on Band of Horses. Flash actually suggested them to me and I couldn't get enough of their stuff. Not sure what you thought of Picaresque, but it might have set my expectations too high for The Crane Wife. Not that I was disappointed, just hoping for more. Didn't give Eraser much time at the time…maybe I need to revisit that one.

Vinnie, I can't believe you left off Ray LaMontagne's Till the Sun Turns Black off your 2006 list. You loved that album...(for at least a couple of months)
