Actually Side 2 of this LP is my favorite album of all time. Were there ever 4 people in the history of the world who were supposed to meet more than John, Paul, George & Ringo?

This record makes me want to have everything recorded by The Rolling Stones (up until 1981).

Tough record. Only artist in both the Rock & Roll and Country Music Hall of Fames.

The only Wilco record featuring Tweedy on lead guitar. That gets bonus credit from me.

I first heard this record in college and it gave me a life long appreciation for the 1:30 song.

I've read stories about A&R people from different record labels in LA doing anything to sign GN'R back before this record came out...money, gifts, whatever. Axl apparently told one female rep to walk down Sunset Strip naked if she wanted to sign them and she did. This debut record screams confidence.

The best family band of all time. With apologies to The Jackson 5, Allman Bros, Van Halen, AC/DC, The Bee Gees, etc..

I feel maximum effort was put into each individual track. Making for a great collection.
