One of the first times a pop band said "screw it" and did something completely original. I mean, they had been building up to something like this. But when it came out. Blam! Definately changed the way music was made from then on.
This one was actually released in February of 1972. Don't know why the db says 1990. Anyway, it's a beaut. I´ll admit that there are some low points on the album (namely "There's a World") but the good ones are just so very...
If you've never listened to this album, you have your head up your ass. If you refuse to listen to it, you should be incarcerated. If you don't like it, that's ok (but we can't ever be friends).
How could I have forgotten this one? I must have had my head up my ass.
I have be known on occasion to claim this as the best album of all time. Between us girls I'll admit that I don't believe such a thing exists. However, hypothetically speaking of course, if such a thing did exist, this would be it. Maybe.
Top 10? Yep.
Oh, and if you're a Vampire Weekend fan...consider it roots
Still makes me want to buy a 12 pack and go to a band party.
R.E.M. has made a number of albums that could be on my list but this one just gets me. I can't remember ever NOT playing this one the whole way through.
I exhausted this one with my brother driving between Atlanta and Auburn on the weekends to work at Taco Taco Mac Yo. Probably on this list because of my relationship with my brother more than for being a great album (which it is).
