I have a hard time with "all time" lists as my listening habits constantly evolve. Should I include Axis: Bold as Love which I listened to non-stop when i was in High School but rarely reach for now? I listed Kind of Blue because it is influential (I learned all the solos when I was studying jazz) and I still listen occasionally. But, in truth, it isn't even my favorite jazz album anymore. I'm a huge Zappa fan, but selecting one of his albums as my "favorite" could change by the hour. You get where I'm going with this. So here are some albums that both have historical significance for me and I still reach for now and then, but it is far from definitive.
