Flav - I'm thinking you'll love Caribou's "Odessa". Give it a listen:

Flav, How's that new Pearl Jam? Worth picking up a copy?

Flav - good stuff! Phoenix & Dirty Projectors are my fix for the moment as well. PM me if you want to talk Passion Pit as well which might be a fit for you as well.

Ok, I'm converted. The Diplo dub brought the whole thing together for me. Now when I go back to the Santogold album, I dig it. Still skip many of the later tracks.

I'm havin a hard time understanding all the hype around Santogold, but if it's on SupaFlav's list there must be somthin' to it. I''m gonna have to give this one another chance.

Third is growing on me with mad speed. This just might prove worth the wait.

How did you get the new Jamie Lidell? I found out about him after he did that Target commercial. I love his voice. What's wrong with Starbucks ? I buy alot of my new music there.

In Rainbows was NOT in Starbucks. I refuse to believe that.

Did it look like it was shedding a tear as it looked over and saw the Kenny G album outselling it?

Dude, I saw In Rainbows in Starbucks the other day. Unbelievable.

And no one with an ounce of self respect should be in Starbucks.

yeah, I'm pretty taken by this MGMT; another one of these records that marketing made--in other words, it's front loaded... but the back half catches up after a few listens...

I don't think i could ever be a part of any scene that couldn't get into the 4th track, Electric Feel... and the first song, great lyrics--i'm pretty sure they are trying to explain that being a rockstar today is nothing like it once was.. but i think it'd be much cooler if they were trying to explain that all of the pretenders to the throne of GNR and Zeppelin are exactly that: pretenders... or possibly an expose of hip hop royalty... either way, the opening track is killer...

Yeah, I was gonna check out Sia and then I walked into a Starbucks and saw it next to some Sheryl Crow acoustic bullshit and decided it was tainted by association. Starbucks shouldn't be allowed to create a favorite 10 list.

Liars is really good. It is a bit of a departure from their previous albums, but they seem keen on doing that from release to release, so it's not a departure in that sense. Their rhythm section is insane (go see them live and you'll see what I mean), and their ability to explore different styles but still be able to retain that "Liars" sound helps them fit in nicely with a lot of the other stuff that I've got on heavy rotation right now. Definitely check this new album out, and go catch one of their shows if you get the chance.

I heard this Liars record is pretty damn good, apparently you agree.... it seems like an anomaly on your list though. is it, or is it just a departure from their other stuff?

That's because you're a sally.

Damn fras, outside of In Rainbows we have no musical taste in common.
