Uncle Tupelo
The birth of country punk, son volt and wilco. The first three UT albums are my go to, always. Whenever I need salvation, it's only moments away when I reach for my UT.

4.
Nirvana
Sales don't mean shit. This album rocks you to the core. 2nd best Nirvana album has to be Incesticide. Nevermind was great, but the emotions are disconnected from the recordings. Not the case with Bleach. Raw, uncut, beauty.
Overall Rank: 70

The Who
I would hide out in the house I grew up in and listen to this album repeatedly. It carried me through my parents divorce among other bullshit that was happening in my life during that time. Real soul food for the angry young man.

10.
Beastie Boys
Sugar hill gang meets the sounds of science.

Umbrage... thanks for policing my usage.

noun- Extreme displeasure caused by an insult or slight: dudgeon, huff, miff, offense, pique, resentment, ruffled feathers. See like/dislike, pain/pleasure.

An overstatement, but you get the point. I'm not going to descend much further into this debate of Nevermind v. Bleach. But I stand on my comments, demo or not.

What the hell is humbrage?

Bleach is not a better album! It wasn't until nevermind that kurt cobain figured out where he was going with the sound. I understand that sometimes rawer is better but bleach was basically a demo.

Amerikkka's Most Wanted is good stuff. How did Ice Cube go from the nigga you love to hate to "Are We There Yet?"

Bleach is a better album than Nevermind. Screw sales, I speak the truth.

Betty, I take humbrage at your comment. Pulled the Stevies Musiquarium and put back in a solid, no greatest hits album in place.

I meant nevermind.

How is it possible to rank bleach ahead of nevermind or in utero?

greatest hits albums should be a complete no, no. that stevie wonder album doesn't count in my eyes.

however, you totally redeemed yourself with Everybody Knows This is Nowhere and Quadrophenia, two albums that make my top 25 for sure.
