Mogwai
I would like to put their next album on my Favorite 10 in advance. I'm sure it too is freakin' outta this world. One of the best bands out there. They do for me now what Spiritualized used to.

UNKLE
A few stinkers here, alongside a few gems. The "dance" element is almost gone, but with distorted guitars and rockin' beats, I don't really miss that.

R.E.M.
They lost me with the last few. I honestly have not even heard them. Me likey this one though.
8.
Spiritualized
Jason has lost the magic contained on earlier records. This new stripped down approach doesn't really suit them as well. However, there are golden moments here. Some great songs. I just miss all of the layers of sound, and drones, and Farfisa, etc. I'd love to see how Jason's music would sound if he could get off the junk.

Adam Franklin
Every review says this is a return to Adam's rockin' Swervedriver roots. Not really. A few tracks are rockin' but it's overall a pretty mellow record. I just love his guitar work, so that alone makes this worthwhile for me. Let's hope this Swervedriver reunion will result in a new album.

Jam is great. His solo work is probably my favorite stuff though especially Wildwood, Heavy Soul and his solo debut. I like all of his albums including 22 Dreams & Illumination, but the early ones are when I saw him live 6-7 times and watching him play those songs in person was awesome.

Paul Weller is a great one. I'm a big fan of the Jam. I would not say I'm a Style Council fan, but they did have some good songs. Not sure what PW was thinking back in the mid-80's. I think 22 Dreams is a very good album. I've been spinning the hell out of it since I got it. Illumination had some great stuff too.

Weller is the man. Are you a fan of The Jam & Style Council or just his solo work?

Yeah, I'm on a rock kick for now. Tanya Stephens is a very good reggae album, so I have one on there. Just diggin' some different stuff for now.
