Hey Vin--You're the 5th person I have good things about that 2-CD live release. I will probably pick it up as it is a nice mix of the new songs and old classics. I think Geddy has a great voice and actually like that he cannot shreak as much as before. I agree the music still shreds and the lyrics remain topnotch.
I've been listening to Snakes and Arrows Live all day. Really great stuff. Geddy Lee's voice seems to be getting lower with age. This might or might not be a good thing. Old time listeners will miss his high pitch singing while people who were turned off to Rush because of Geddy's voice might dig it. In any case, Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson are still at the top of their game.
vfk, did you know that Super Furry Animal's Gruff Rhys released a new album under the name Neon Neon? i've only given it a cursory listen, but it's very 80's synth dance pop.
